DOCUMENT 001113 - ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

1. PROJECT INFORMATION

A. Notice to Bidders: Qualified bidders may submit bids for project as described in this Document.

Submit bids according to the Instructions to Bidders.

1. Regulatory Requirements: Mississippi State regulations shall govern submittal, opening, and award of bids.

B. Project Identification: The City of Tupelo - The Depot

1. Project Location: Front Street, Tupelo, MS

E. Project Description: Construction of the proposed New covered pavilion with public restrooms and related improvements. All other related items of work required to complete the project as shown and specified in the Contract Documents.

1. Project cost range is anticipated to be $2,000,000

F. Construction Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work:

1. General Contract (all trades).

2. BID SUBMITTAL AND OPENING

A. Owner will receive sealed lump sum bids until the bid time and date at the location given below.

Owner will consider bids prepared in compliance with the Instructions to Bidders issued by

Owner, and delivered as follows:

1. Bid Date: Wednesday, June 5, 2024

2. Bid Time: 10:00 a.m., local time.

3. Location: Tupelo City Hall - 71 East Troy Street (Council Chambers: Second Floor)

B. Bids will be opened publicly.

3. BID SECURITY

A. Each bid, exceeding $5,000.00, must be accompanied by the Bidder's certified check or a bid bond, duly executed by the Bidder as principal and having surety thereon, a surety company approved by the Owner and signed by an agent resident in Mississippi, in the amount of five percent of the bid. All bid bonds must be accompanied by the appropriate Power of Attorney designating the Mississippi Resident Agent. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities.

4. PREBID MEETING

A. Prebid Meeting: See Document 002513 "Prebid Meetings."

B. Prebid Meeting: A Prebid meeting for all bidders will be held at, Tupelo City Hall - 71 East

Troy Street (Council Chambers: Second Floor) on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 10:00 am.

Prospective prime bidders are recommended to attend.

5. DOCUMENTS

A. Bid documents are being made available via digital download provided by the Architect.

6. TIME OF COMPLETION AND LIQUIDATED DAMAGES

A. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work on or before March 1, 2025. Work is subject to liquidated damages.

7. BIDDER'S QUALIFICATIONS

A. Bidders have been prequalified and must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder.

8. NOTIFICATION
